Legal Training–Seasons Family Support Center

This training will focus on common legal questions for foster, adoptive, and kinship populations. It will cover topics such as subsidized vs unsubsidized adoption, guardianship, conservatorship, and funding options for adoption/guardianship. Participant questions are welcome. This training will be held virtually via Zoom from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Monday, February 26. It will be facilitated in partnership with attorney Phil De Koster of De Koster & De Koster Law Firm alongside Gina Touney and others of Iowa HHS. This training is applicable for both professionals working with foster/adoptive/kinship children and families as well as families themselves. *Disclaimer: This training is not meant to serve as legal advice for attendees but as an educational resource for information that may be helpful when providing care to children in out of home placement or kinship care. Important Notice: Care Connections of Northern Iowa Will Close Operations on June 30, 2025

As part of Iowa’s statewide reorganization of behavioral health and disability services, Care Connections of Northern Iowa (CCNIA) will cease all operations effective June 30, 2025. Clients will be transitioned to new service coordination under the awarded Administrative Services Organization and Disability Access Points.

Providers are requested to submit all final invoices for services rendered prior to July 1, 2025, no later than August 10, 2025.
