Thursday, April 10 from 1:00 – 4:30 PM – Hope Church in Spencer. This event is designed for professionals who work with foster/adoptive/kinship families.
The training will highlight:

o How early separation trauma and adversity affect brain development and contribute to difficulties with emotional regulation, learning, and relationships.
o The fight, flight, freeze, fawn, and flop responses and how these survival mechanisms manifest in children’s behaviors
o The impact of attachment disruptions and why fostering relational safety is critical for healing.
o The core principles of trauma-informed care and how to apply them in daily interactions with children.
o How to use emotional containers and transitional objects to help children process loss, grief, and instability.
o Practical therapeutic interventions for helping children regulate emotions, manage stress, and develop a sense of safety in their bodies.
