**RECOVERY RESOURCE EVENT**

MULTI-AGENCY RESOURCE CENTER (MARC) EVENT FOR FLOOD DISASTER RECOVERY
Friday, July 5 from 3pm-7pm
Saturday, July 6 from 10a-2p
Clay County Fairgrounds, Tower Pavilion
800 W 18th Street, Spencer
Entrance off 4th Ave West – Follow Signs
Open to Spencer and Surrounding communities impacted by the disaster.
Food and childcare provided.

Resources available at this event include:
Iowa Legal Aid: Free legal assistance; recovering security deposits and pre-paid rent; insurance issues, FEMA appeals, legal issues related to loss of income and unemployment.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach: Educational Resources on Flood Recovery

Care Connections of Northern Iowa: Mental health, disability navigating and funding based on eligibility

Seasons Center for Behavioral Health: Mental Health and Crisis Services

Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc.: Disaster Case Advocacy, utility assistance, baby items, assistance for medication, birth certificate replacements, purchase of submersible pumps, Head Start services, etc.

Clay County Behavioral Health / LINC: Behavioral Health Resource Coordination for Clay County.

Crisis Response Canines: Comfort through use of Therapy Dogs.

Samaritan’s Purse and Billy Graham Chaplains: Remove belongings, Mud out, spray Shockwave.

American Red Cross: Individual assistance, disaster mental health, disaster health services, recovery planning, financial assistance when eligible, veteran connections.

Iowa Insurance Division: Answer and provide guidance on private insurance concerns.

Southern Baptist Disaster Relief: Showers, Laundry, Muck Out, cleaning supplies, Chaplains.

Iowa Workforce Development: Employment and information about unemployment.

Disaster Small Business Association: Low interest disaster loans to for businesses and homeowners.

FEMA / Disaster Recovery Services: Federal aid for prevention, protection, mitigation, response & recovery.

Important Notice: Care Connections of Northern Iowa Will Close Operations on June 30, 2025

As part of Iowa’s statewide reorganization of behavioral health and disability services, Care Connections of Northern Iowa (CCNIA) will cease all operations effective June 30, 2025. Clients will be transitioned to new service coordination under the awarded Administrative Services Organization and Disability Access Points.

Providers are requested to submit all final invoices for services rendered prior to July 1, 2025, no later than August 10, 2025.
