CAASA provides advocacy services to victims/ survivors of sexual assault and their families in 19 counties of Northwest Iowa and also to those who have been victimized by human trafficking. CAASA meets the victim/ survivor wherever they are at in their journey and helps them toward a life free from violence in a way that is reasonable for them. Services are free and confidential.

Clay County General Relief
General Relief provides assistance to individuals and families in Clay County who need help with rent, utility, or burial expenses. The program is designed to provide short-term emergency assistance to persons who are experiencing a financial crisis and are unable to be supported by their own means and cannot obtain assistance from any other sources.

Upper Des Moines Opportunity (UDMO) Clay County offers various children’s outreach programs for qualified families.
Citizen’s Awareness Council of Clay & Dickinson Counties–Car Repair Mini-Grant Program
The Car Repair Mini-Grant is an initiative available to qualified residents of Clay County to assist in paying for needed car repairs.
Citizen’s Awareness Council of Clay & Dickinson Counties: Youth Activity Mini-Grant Program
The Youth Activity mini-grant is available to qualified individuals age birth to age 18 residing in Clay County and will pay for expenses needed for a youth to participate in activities.
Upper Des Moines Opportunity Outreach (LIHEAP/LIHWAP)
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) assists low – income homeowners and renters with utility and water costs. Crisis Energy Assistance may also be available.
Iowa Crime Victim Compensation Program
If you or a loved one has suffered personal injury from a violent crime, the Crime Victim Compensation Program may be able to help. The program helps victims with certain out-of-pocket expenses related to injuries from violent crime.
