Birthright
Birthright understands the challenges related to unplanned pregnancies. Birthright is available to women for as long as they need them. They offer love, friendship, and support to women who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant. Birthright is interdenominational and is not involved in any political activities, or lobbying. Birthright’s focus is on loving the mother, reminding her that there is hope and ensuring she is not alone.
Elderbridge Agency on Aging–Medicare Support
The Medicare Savings Program includes four separate programs. LIS is administered by the Social Security Administration and MSPs are administered by state Medicaid agencies.
Elderbridge Agency on Aging–Health, Prevention, & Wellness
Health, prevention and wellness programs are critical to ensuring that older Iowans are informed about and have access to services and evidence-based activities that can significantly improve their health, function and quality of life and reduce the need for more costly medical interventions. These programs include congregate meals, nutrition counseling and education, and healthy movement.
Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP)
The Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is available to Iowa seniors at no cost to the client. Visit shiip.iowa.gov for additional information. SHIIP volunteer counselors are available to provide their services unbiased and without any sales pitch for products or policies.
Telecommunications Access Iowa
Telecommunications Access Iowa (TAI) is a statewide program that provides specialized telecommunications equipment, such as smartphones, tablets, captioned telephones, amplified phones, and more, to eligible Iowans who have hearing loss or speech difficulties via vouchers for little to no cost.
711 (Telecommunications Relay Service)
711 for Telecommunications Relay Service provides phone services for people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or have Speech Difficulty. These services are available at no cost to the consumer.
