Best Care for Better Babies and Children is a family support home visitation program serving pregnant women and parents with children from 0-5 years of age. Visits are provided by nurses who specialize in breastfeeding, developmental milestone screenings, immunizations, and community resources.

Eligibility Criteria
The program is for residents of Clay, Dickinson, O'Brien, and Osceola Counties. Services and voluntary and at no cost to the family.
Instructions for Referral

Referrals can be made by phone, fax, or email. Self referral is also an option.

Important Notice: Care Connections of Northern Iowa Will Close Operations on June 30, 2025

As part of Iowa’s statewide reorganization of behavioral health and disability services, Care Connections of Northern Iowa (CCNIA) will cease all operations effective June 30, 2025. Clients will be transitioned to new service coordination under the awarded Administrative Services Organization and Disability Access Points.

Providers are requested to submit all final invoices for services rendered prior to July 1, 2025, no later than August 10, 2025.
