Dementia Friends is a global movement that is changing the way people think, act, and talk about dementia. You become a Dementia Friend by attending a free one-hour information session to learn about this worldwide movement. You’ll learn what dementia is, what it’s like to live with the disease, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia.

Eligibility Criteria
The Dementia Friends informational session can be attended by anyone wanting to learn more about dementia and how to communicate with people who have dementia.

Important Notice: Care Connections of Northern Iowa Will Close Operations on June 30, 2025

As part of Iowa’s statewide reorganization of behavioral health and disability services, Care Connections of Northern Iowa (CCNIA) will cease all operations effective June 30, 2025. Clients will be transitioned to new service coordination under the awarded Administrative Services Organization and Disability Access Points.

Providers are requested to submit all final invoices for services rendered prior to July 1, 2025, no later than August 10, 2025.
