Elder Abuse Prevention & Awareness works to provide education and develop programs and policies that can prevent elder abuse in any of its forms, including physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse or exploitation, financial exploitation, denial of critical care and self-neglect. Counseling/personal assistance to help you sort through challenges and identify possible solutions, including referral to Adult Protective Services through the Department of Health and Human Services and coordination with community providers to improve life circumstances. The goal of the Elder Rights Program is to address and focus on prevention, intervention, detection and reporting elder abuse, neglect and exploitation by presenting the senior consumer with options to enhance and protect their life and independence. Legal Assistance can offer you legal advice, counseling, or representation on elder rights issues.

Eligibility Criteria
Elderbridge serves individuals 60 years of age and older. They serve those under 60 with disabilities. Elderbridge also serves caregivers.

Important Notice: Care Connections of Northern Iowa Will Close Operations on June 30, 2025

As part of Iowa’s statewide reorganization of behavioral health and disability services, Care Connections of Northern Iowa (CCNIA) will cease all operations effective June 30, 2025. Clients will be transitioned to new service coordination under the awarded Administrative Services Organization and Disability Access Points.

Providers are requested to submit all final invoices for services rendered prior to July 1, 2025, no later than August 10, 2025.
