Spencer Addiction Services–A Department of Spencer Hospital

When does a person cross the line from being someone who uses alcohol, prescription medicines and other legal or illegal substances, to a person who abuses or is addicted to such substances? If you’re concerned you’re using alcohol, tobacco or other drugs too much, an evaluation can help identify concerns and match you with needed resources. All it takes is one phone call.

Spirit Lake VA Clinic–Mental Health

If you need support for a specific mental health problem—or if you’re having problems sleeping, controlling your anger, or readjusting to civilian life—you are not alone. And we can help. Our services range from peer support with other Veterans to counseling, therapy, medication, or a combination of these options. Our goal is to help you take charge of your treatment and live a full and meaningful life.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)–Palo Alto County Health System

Palo Alto County Health System offers a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program to help individuals manage the symptoms of drug and alcohol disorders. MAT is an evidence-based practice that combines FDA-approved medication with substance abuse counseling and social support and is introducing people to recovery and improving their lives.

Discovery House Spencer Campus–Currently Closed

Discovery House Spencer Campus is a sober-living program. It currently has 7 beds and serves male or female individuals who are impacted by substance abuse, mental health, homelessness, or domestic violence.

Family Access Center

Family Access Center is here for you and your family for substance use disorder treatment, mental health treatment and behavioral health treatment.

Clay County Behavioral Health LINC (Local Initiative for Networking and Collaboration) is dedicated to connecting providers and organizations through partnership and education to help improve access and effectiveness of behavioral health and addiction recovery services in Clay County, Iowa. Our mission is nurturing hope, health, and wellness through community collaboration.
Important Notice: Care Connections of Northern Iowa Will Close Operations on June 30, 2025

As part of Iowa’s statewide reorganization of behavioral health and disability services, Care Connections of Northern Iowa (CCNIA) will cease all operations effective June 30, 2025. Clients will be transitioned to new service coordination under the awarded Administrative Services Organization and Disability Access Points.

Providers are requested to submit all final invoices for services rendered prior to July 1, 2025, no later than August 10, 2025.
